The Hideout owns and oversees the management of roughly 250 acres of pristine woodland throughout the community, while the rest of the forest ecosystem exists on individual homeowner lots. By visiting The Hideout Forest Information Page, you are taking the first step at informing yourself on what the forest ecosystem looks like within The Hideout community. We created this page to help give homeowners a better understanding on how they can implement best practices on their property to ensure the trees and other plant are maintained and attended to as best as possible. The Hideout oversees six bodies of water. By visiting The Hideout Lake Information Page you will be able to read in detail about the three lakes within The Hideout Community and the Lakes committee mission statement. You also will be able to click on links for resource materials on common fish species, aquatic plants and best shoreline practices here in The Hideout!

The Hideout is generally stocked bi-yearly. This resource is a guide to what fish species are located in the three lakes, as well as, a quick reference guide to PA Fish and Boat Commission Regulations.

Types of Aquatic Plants and Algae Found in The Hideout Lakes is a guide that gives pictures with descriptive characteristics along with issues/concerns and/or benefits of each.

This Brochure answers commonly ask questions when living on the lake shoreline. It also explains how to naturally protect the lakes by creating a living shoreline, options if native or vegetated buffers are not applicable and who to contact for proper permitting prior to any shoreline stabilization or rehabilitation work is performed.
