Community Profile

Summary

City of Lorain is a lakefront community along the shores of lake Erie. As such, we are on the monarch migratory route and have created several pollinator gardens to serve as buffets for our monarch friends and other pollinators. We established our first pollinator garden in 2019 and now have over 14 gardens. We;'ve competed the Mayor's monarch Pledge each year since 2022.
