Creating Community. Enhancing health. Inspiring play. We are a special government district created in 1959 to serve the parks and recreation needs of our citizenry. Located in Southern unincorporated Jefferson County, CO, Foothills Park & Recreation District encompasses 24.2 sq. miles and we serve a population of approximately 93,000. Within our district we have 4 regional parks, 8 community parks, 35 neighborhood parks, 21 miles of greenbelts, 31 miles of trials, 4 fishable ponds/lakes, 3 recreation centers, 2 sheets of ice, 2 indoor sports facilities, 4 outdoor pools, 2, golf courses, 1 disc golf course, and numerous outdoor fields, courts, and playgrounds. All with the backdrop of the beautiful Rocky Mountain Foothills!
