Signal Mountain is located on Walden Ridge and is comprised of two municipalities, the Town of Signal Mountain and the Town of Walden, as well as adjacent unincorporated areas. Parts of Signal Mountain border on a state forest, and we have extensive hiking trails and awe-inspiring views. We are considered as a suburb of Chattanooga, TN. Signal Mountain is approximately 2000 ft. above sea level. We are a designated Tree City USA and enjoy a good tree canopy. We are a bird sanctuary. Tennessee is the most biodiverse inland state in the United States.
