Lawrence Township

Noblesville, IN

City or Town

Population: 110000

Summary

Located in the northeast corner of the greater Indianapolis area, Lawrence Township is a fully developed residential suburban community and home to Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park and Geist Reservoir. The community also has eight local parks, a scout camp and seven outdoor learning labs. There is a great blue heron rookery nearby at the confluence of Indian Creek and Fall Creek. A huge shopping area and a major interstate crossing through the township have led to the township's growth and to the reduction in natural areas. Lawrence Township was registered as a Community Wildlife Habitat in May,2006.
