Summary

In Mendham Township streams tumble through hilly landscapes of historic homes and winding tree-lined roads. The long-established hamlets of Brookside and Ralston are located within the township and both are listed among the National Register of Historic Places. The township has over 850 acres of parks and natural areas, 55 miles of walking trails and contains the headwaters of three major rivers, the Whippany, Raritan & Passaic. The Mendham Township Environmental Commission and the Mendham Borough Joint Environmental, Open Space, Shade Tree (ECOSST) Commission are leading the certification project in the Mendhams.
