Summary

The Crescent Valley Biodiversity Management Area is approximately 800 acres and extends from Gig Harbor northward, following Crescent Creek, and including Crescent Lake. This area consists mostly of single-family homes, along with a few hobby farms. The Crescent Valley Alliance, an organization of local residents interested in maintaining the area's wealth of biodiversity, is leading the project. Crescent Valley registered as a Community Wildlife Habitat in October, 2006. Crescent Valley merged with the Pierce County Community Wildlife Habitat.
